How do I install a decomposed granite patio?

What is the appropriate depth of the decomposed granite and do I need to use base rock? Should I use a stablizer or mix it with Concerete? Ideally I would like the patio to be solid and have concrete like feel. My main concern is that drainage will be an issue.
