How to remove Vodei from movies ( avi ) by a simple way ?

i already can remove it by splitting the audio & video streams & remuxing them , but there will be audio sync errors & the screen goes trash when resizing or trying to seek while playing , & re-encoding it with Divx or Xvid takes a long time ... help plz with a simple method
