Question about pumpkin pie?

Okay, on Halloween we got one of those big jack-o-lantern pumpkins and we were going to make a pumpkin pie... so my mom's bf carved out the inside stuff but then everyone got distracted so we decided to make it later. They put it in the freezer in a bag, and that was a few months ago. It wasn't pureed, they just kind of sliced it into large chunks and froze it. So I was wondering...would it still be good? And if so, are there any recipes to make pumpkin pie from scratch without canned milk? We have sugar, eggs, flour, ect..
