What do textile mediums do?

A textile medium is a liquid, sometimes almost a gel, that allows you tp paint directly on fabric. It lets the paint the fabric, become part of the fabric, rather than sit on top of it. It also allows the decoration to becoem permanent, using either an iron, or washing in hot water, depending on what type you use.
