I have a few questions for self employed photographers?

I am not a professional as of yet but I don't think that many professional photographers who shoot digital actually print their own photographs. The cost of a good printer is so high that few people can take on the cost. Instead, many photographers use services that do the printing for them. I know that Mpix is popular for mail order prints.
