How do people on Lookbook take such good photos?

Obviously they all have amazing cameras and use an editor like Photoscape or something but do you use a self-timer? A tripod? Do you get someone else to take the picture? Use a backdrop? Haha if people who actually have Lookbook accounts answer then that'd be awesome :) How do you take good photos haha!
